Someone to Love

My Grandfather served in WWI, and years later, when he was old and no longer well, was taken care of by kind nurses and doctors at our local VA hospital. It was there that he passed, blessed by a loving family that surrounded him in his final moments. Some years later, my Gramma and I made Valentine's for veterans to send to the local VA hospital. Now that she has made her home in Heaven, I plan to carry on with my own little one of making Valentine's for veterans for his first Valentine's Day. There are so many who have served and given their lives for our country that are unappreciated and unloved, spending their days in hospices or VA hospitals. Please join us in taking a few hours out of your day to love on someone that is unloved, even someone that may not deserve it. The above photos are of some folks I don't know, I just picked up their images the other day at a local antique store, I wonder what their stories are.

Baby Love

"We were given: Two hands to hold. Two legs to walk. Two eyes to see. Two ears to listen. But why only one heart? Because the other was given to someone else. For us to find." - Author Unknown

Blogged

So, thanks to one of my wonderful sis-in-laws, I've started to become much more interested in the blog world. One of the blogs had a challenge going for the month of January to get organized.. well, I most certainly need that. I think I'm going to start it.. now, I can't promise any serious commitment, but I think I'm going to go through the 21 days and put a little effort into getting organized.. if you'd like to join me, here's the site.. If you have a favorite blog to share, or just one that's seemed interesting lately, post it! I'd love to see what interests you. Have a super day!

Spring Love

Spring is slowly creeping in, ah how I love it. There's just something about spring that has captured me, and from these photos you can see that there's something special that's captured my dear friend Allison's heart as well. My beautiful best is expecting her first little one due in April, and I cannot wait for her and her husband to get to wrap their arms around this new little heavenly gift. Little baby girl is coming into a world where there are just so many waiting to love on her, including me - I am so looking forward to holding another one of God's gifts. Congratulations to the new family, and a big thank you to my beautiful friend for allowing me to tote her around this afternoon.

From Two to Four

This afternoon I got to sneak in an hour or so of some contagious joy with good friends, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of not one, but TWO new little ones! I cannot wait to hold these new blessings, and one of the most exciting factors for me is that they could possibly share a birthday with my little gift! Heidi looks absolutely beautiful, definitely possessing the 'mama glow'. A big congratulations to this new family of four, we cannot wait to see what God has in store for you guys!
