After the Dress

After we had decided to do an "After the Dress" shoot (click here to see the wedding) Cortney asked if their labs could come along - I'm so glad they did! Koda and Kali are such pretty little subjects and helped make the shoot that much more fun. I had a great afternoon with these sweet newlyweds and their precious pups.

The J Family

     

Yesterday I had the privilege to photograph this beautiful family at a location I haven't yet fully explored, which made the afternoon twice as fun. These kiddos have absolutely stunning crystal blue eyes, definitely a photographer's eye candy (no pun intended ;-)) 

          

           

Wednesday DIY

Yesterday I woke up in a DIY sort of mood, so I went and picked up some supplies for a

 "Krazy Coupon Lady" inspired coupon binder. 

To create one I purchased:

Binder 

Baseball card sleeves 

Page Dividers 

...And I used some old sparkly letter stickers for a little flair ;-) 

An organizational system for day to day use all for less than $8? Yes please. 

I'm excited to have all my coupons compartmentalized and easy to store. If I end up choosing to sub-categorize further, I printed out the Krazy Coupon Lady's free organizational pages here.

Baby Ty

Some moments are worth waiting for, these were some of them. At the point where it seemed like we were about to wrap up the indoor part of the shoot, baby Ty let us know there were just a few more moments to capture... 

Little Things

Last night was a fragment of time that would have had the opportunity to seem so quaint, so insignificant, and yet - it was magical. I witnessed two friends of 25+ years giggling like young girls, cracking jokes and letting every worry slip away if only for a moment. They have endured rough times in their lives and come out strong, they have set examples, they have survived lives one only hears about, and yet in the quiet of a midnight living room they let everything fade away over a deck of cards. I think sometimes we truly are mere flies on the wall in the midst of another's bliss, and last night I was delighted to be a fly.

Oh what fun it is to be still and delight in the joy of another. 

Fall Has Arrived

 Today finally felt like fall. I went for a shoot with some beautiful friends and their little ones and enjoyed time well spent in an adorable little park. Not to mention, their perfectly paired wardrobe helped get me that much more into my favorite season! I went home and quickly put on my first cardigan of the season and got myself right into the spirit as well. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
