The South

Words like butter in the mouth, coming out sweet & slow. Windows down, fragrance light & sweet in the air. Old kindness shown to a new generation, manners in everything done well.

Thank You, Father, for the memories. Creole kitchen on highway roads, kitchen chairs splashed in the light filled with south.
Sweet old man at cash register looking down, words exchanged from a gentle soul.
Texan barn filled with light through, cattle grazing nearby. Sun reflected in ground water, driving by honey light goodness.
Sweet baby boy laughs loud before last goodnights, throwing his "lombster" toy at mommy with glee. Mimi's scent in little boy's hair, a treasure to bring home to daddy. Full moon out hotel window, illuminating life all below.

Lovely things.
